Megan Marie Jacobs, 33 of Humbird, WI passed away on Thursday June 12, 2025. Born on August 1,
1991 in Black River Falls, WI, Megan was the beloved daughter on Peter Jacobs and Mary Beth White-
Jacobs. Megan was a loving mother to her daughters, Amara Marie (11) and Nova Kimberly (4) whom
she cherished deeply.
Megan graduated from Lincoln High School in 2009 and over her life lived in Eau Claire and Humbird WI.
Known for her kind heart and endless compassion, Megan frequently went out of her way to help others
in need, leaving lasting impressions with those fortunate enough to cross her path. She was the first to
step up to care for her Grandma Mary allowing her to stay in her home until her death at 101 years of
age.
Megan loved animals especially her horses. She was a very active member of the 4H Horse Project in
Jackson County participating in 9 county fairs. She and several of the other horse project members had
the opportunity to participate in clinics during the Midwest Horse Fair with renowned trainer Julie
Goodnight. Her horses, Sunny, Zinger and Potter were her heart-horses and she went on to win with
them at the district and state levels. She and Zinger were members of the Jackson County Drill Team for
several years. She loved all those years in horse project as much as her mother did. Horsing around
together was a highlight of their relationship.
Megan worked at several local businesses including the Osseo Family Restaurant, My Second Home and
Hillbilly’s in Pigeon Falls, serving as a bartender, waitress and cook. She liked cooking the best, taking
after her grandmother, Betty White. At the time of her death, she had started a new job working as a
cook at the Skyline Golf Course in Black River Falls and was enjoying meeting some new friends.
Megan was an artist at heart and shared this love with her daughters. Her grandmother, Mary jacobs
past down this passion to her.
Megan is survived by her loving parents, Peter D. Jacobs and Mary Beth White-Jacobs; her beautiful
daughters, Amara Marie and Nova Kimberly. Her brothers: Michael (Maggie Smith, Elizabeth, Caleb and
Lydia) Jacobs, Eau Claire WI; Cory (Bethany Hall) Jacobs, Minneapolis MN. Maternal Aunts and Uncles:
Douglas (Nancy) White, Lake Forest CA; Jennifer (Tim) Adams, Lakemoor IL; Brian (Dawnn Taylor) White,
Ray MN; Jeff (Susan) White, Bartow GA. Paternal Aunts and Uncles: Scott (Maria Shea) Jacobs, Prescott
WI; Beth Jacobs, Menomonie WI; Jeff (Cathy) Jacobs, Menomonie WI; Connar Jacobs, Humbird WI. Ma
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Harold “Jake” and Mary Jacobs; and maternal
grandparents, Robert and Betty White who were all very close to Megan.
The Celebration of Megan’s Life for Family and Friends will be held at the family farm she loved, N3418
Fairview Ave, Humbird on Saturday August 2, 2025 from 1:00-4:00 pm.
