Emalee Jean Stowell, 37 years of age, from Comstock, WI has been arrested by the Wisconsin
State Patrol Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense.
On Saturday, September 27, 2025, at approximately 12:31 AM, Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers
responded to a single-vehicle crash in Polk County on County Line Street. Preliminary findings
indicate that the vehicle was heading northbound when it veered off the road and into the lake.
Upon arrival, Troopers noted signs of impairment in the driver. After a subsequent investigation,
which included standardized field sobriety tests, it was determined that the driver, Emalee Jean
Stowell from Comstock, WI, was operating the vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant first
offense. Mrs. Stowell was subsequently arrested and taken to the local police department for a
breath evidentiary test.
The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is
presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”
