One person is in custody after allegedly breaking into Safe and Secure Firearms, on Gilbert Street, in Blair. According to Blair Police Chief Kent Johnson, it happened early Friday morning. About 5:30, an employee was arriving for work when he heard glass breaking in a back hallway. The employee immediately yelled out and ran toward the sound to find the suspect fleeing from the scene through a window. Deputies from the Trempealeau and Jackson County Sheriff’s Departments located and arrested 20 year-old Christian Dahl. Chief Johnson says the investigation found Dahl is believed to have stolen three handguns, ammunition, knives, a “dummy” grenade, among other items. All items were recovered. Dahl was taken to the Trempealeau County Jail. The incident remains under investigation.
