The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development has released September employment and unemployment figures from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The latest data shows unemployment rates fell over the month in every part of the state, including all 13 metropolitan areas, all 35 of Wisconsin’s largest cities, and all 72 counties.
Compared to a year ago, unemployment rates declined in some areas, including Fond du Lac among metro areas, three cities, and 11 counties. However, rates were higher than last year in most metro areas, cities, and counties, while others remained unchanged.
