Eric Edward Widiker, 53 years of age, from Birchwood has been arrested by the Wisconsin State
Patrol Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 8th offense.
On 10/11/2025, at approximately 8:16 pm, a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle for
speed on CTH-H north of Lake Church Rd in near Hertel. The Trooper observed signs of
impairment and a subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety tests was
conducted. The driver, Eric E. Widiker from Birchwood, WI, was arrested for operating a motor
vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant 8th offense. Mr. Widiker was transported to a local
hospital for an evidentiary test of his blood and then to the Burnett County Jail.
