On January 21st at approximately 3:19 p.m., the Jackson County Communications Center received an alert from Flock automated license plate reader cameras for a stolen vehicle traveling eastbound on State Highway 95 in the Town of Springfield. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Columbia County.
Deputies later located the vehicle abandoned at an apartment complex in the Village of Taylor. A suspect, identified as Theodore H. Saarnio, was not located after an area search. Authorities say Saarnio has an active felony warrant through Wisconsin Probation and Parole, as well as a misdemeanor warrant through Kenosha Joint Services.
The vehicle was recovered undamaged and will be returned to its owner. The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted in the incident.
