On Tuesday morning, September 30th, around 7:22, the Jackson County Communications Center was alerted by the Wisconsin State Patrol about two stolen rental cars heading eastbound on I-94 from Minneapolis.

Deputies attempted a traffic stop, but both vehicles fled. One was abandoned at a rest stop in Jackson County and recovered without damage—the driver was not found. The second continued into Monroe County, where tire deflation devices near Tomah brought it to a stop.

Two suspects were taken into custody: 18-year-old Makenzie Eisert of Faribault, Minnesota, who was driving, and 21-year-old Anjel Sarr of Saint Paul, Minnesota. Eisert now faces multiple charges, including fleeing an officer, operating without the owner’s consent, and recklessly endangering safety.

Authorities remind the public that all parties remain innocent until proven guilty in court.
