Tanya Lynn Thompson, 47, passed away unexpectedly on April 22, 2024, in Black River Falls,
Wisconsin.
Born to Stephen and Lani (Arnold) Larson on March 20, 1977, Tanya grew up in Black River
Falls with her siblings, Jimmy, Audra, Chris, Daniel, and Tiffany, and graduated from Black River
Falls High School in 1995. After high school, Tanya attended the University of Phoenix where
she obtained a degree in accounting. After completing her education, Tanya worked as an order
processor at Empire Screen Printing, where she dedicated herself to her career.
In 2003, Tanya married her high school sweetheart, Broc Thompson. She was a devoted and
loving wife, and the two spent 20 years together sharing many great and happy memories.
She was an animal lover, especially of dogs and cats, and adored her three dogs; her pug Tank,
German Shorthair Pointer Popeye, and Plott Hound Susie-Q, cherishing the time she spent with
them.
She is survived by her loving husband, Broc, siblings Audra (Dave) Moline, Chris Bailey, Daniel
(Jackie) Larson, and Tiffany Larson, her nephews and two nieces, stepmother Diane Larson,
sister-in-law Stephanie (Kevin) Kristjanson, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, several aunts,
uncles and cousins, and her best friend, Nicole Balliett. She is further survived by her loyal
dogs, Tank, Popeye, and Susie-Q.
Tanya was preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Lani, brother Jimmy, stepfather
Stephen Bailey, and grandparents Alice and Earl Larson and William and Audrey Arnold.
A funeral service in memory of Tanya will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Buswell
Funeral Home in Black River Falls. The visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.,
followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. The burial and committal service will be held at the
Irving Cemetery, with Pastor Elden Simonson officiating.
