Authorities in Jackson County are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Saturday evening, March 7th, in the Village of Taylor.
Around 6:50 p.m., dispatch received reports of multiple gunshots, with witnesses describing an armed man riding a skateboard and shouting near a residence. When deputies arrived, the suspect had already left the scene.
Investigators found two vehicles damaged by what is believed to be a small caliber firearm. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and it appears the vehicles were the only targets.
Using surveillance video, tips from the public, and license plate reader technology, authorities identified a suspect vehicle connected to the case.
Twenty-four-year-old Seth Day of Whitehall was later arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail. He faces charges including disorderly conduct while using a dangerous weapon, criminal damage to property, and multiple counts of bail jumping.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Whitehall Police Department.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
