Staff at Tomah Health have wrapped up a unique food drive to benefit Tomah’s Neighbor for Neighbor Food Pantry.
Hospital staff could donate a box of cereal for a chance to win tickets to this weekend’s Charlie Berens concert at the LaCrosse Center.
Staff collected one hundred twenty-one pounds of cereal which Pantry Operations Director Dawn Pleuss said is greatly needed.
Pleuss said they seen record numbers of families seeking food donations. This past month more than six-hundred families were served compared to about four-hundred families at this time last year.
Pleuss also invited the public to take part in the pantry’s ‘Harvest Challenge’ now through December fifteenth which raises funds to help with the purchase of food and operational expenses.
The Food Pantry is located at eleven-eighteen (1118) West Veterans Street in Tomah.
