A registered nurse in the Acute Care Department at Tomah Health has received the highly coveted DAISY award.
Mandy Feldkamp received this year’s award during a special program at Tomah Health.
Hospital Chief Nursing Officer Tracy Myhre said Feldkamp reflects the type of care nurses provide patients at Tomah Health.
The DAISY award is a worldwide recognition program established by the not-for-profit DAISY Foundation, based in Glen Ellen, California, in memory of Patrick Barnes, who died from complications from an autoimmune disease in 1999.
Feldkamp has worked at Tomah Health for two years and is the eighth person to receive the DAISY award since the hospital first implemented it in 2017.
She was one of forty-one nurses at the hospital nominated for the award by submissions from the public.
Tomah Health patients, families and colleagues can nominate nurses and learn more about the award on the hospital’s website at Tomah Health – dot – org.
