The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department says a La Crosse man is in custody following a break-in and vehicle pursuit Thursday morning in the Town of Irving. Sheriff Duane Waldera says deputies were called to a residence on Maple Road just after 8:30 for a report of a person who had entered a residence unlawfully. The resident was inside the house at the time and called 911 for help. When officers arrived, the suspect fled in a car, leading officers on a pursuit – reaching speeds of 80 miles per hour. The chase ended when the vehicle pulled into a driveway, where the suspect, 41 year-old Stephan Lee, was taken into custody after a short negotiation. Lee was booked into the Jackson County Jail for Fleeing an Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Trespass
to a Dwelling.
