The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Town of Adrian Treasurer Kelly Schleusener, 50, for allegedly stealing over $294,000 from township accounts since April 2022. Schleusener was taken into custody on February 25th and booked into the Monroe County Jail on charges of Misconduct in Office and Theft. Authorities say additional charges may follow as the investigation continues.
A bond hearing is scheduled for Thursday, February 27th, at 1:00 PM. The hearing can be viewed online via the Monroe County Clerk of Courts website at http://www.co.monroe.wi.us.
