Trent Michael Stubrud was born on June 21, 2004 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. Trent passed
away on August 12, 2024 at just 20 years old, at the UW-Madison Hospital.
Trent was always a precocious child and on the go. As a young boy he loved playing in the dirt
and tearing apart things he shouldn’t be tearing apart. As he grew older and wiser, he learned
how to put those things back together.
Trent had the biggest heart and always went out of his way to help others. He had a light around
him and a smirk that could make everything seem right in the world. He was his mama’s fiercest
protector and always made sure she was ok.
Trent was an incredibly hard working young man. He was always paving his way through life
with just the sweat on his brow and a smile on his face. He enjoyed cutting wood and
landscaping. He was always proud to share a finished job site.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter and just recently became quite skilled with a bow. He
enjoyed shooting trap and target shooting. One of his favorite things to do was work on his truck
builds and share his dreams of future ones. He loved the farming life and loved nothing more
than working a field from dusk till dawn.
In 2021, Trent met the love of his life, Madison Spencer. They shared a special kind of love and
bond that transcends every hardship, including his passing.
In 2023, Trent became a father to a son on May 1st and he beamed with joy. Weston Lee,
brought hope, love and focus to Trent’s life. Trent had big dreams and plans for Weston as he
grows. We all have no doubt that Trent will be guiding him the whole way.
Trent wanted to make a difference in this world. He always wanted his life to mean something.
He walked on from this life and did just that. Trent donated his gifts to those in need. No doubt,
forever changing their lives.
Trent was a beloved son, father, significant other, nephew, brother and grandson. Trent’s legacy
is forever etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
