A Memory Cafe @ the Library is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, March 12 from 10 to 11 a.m. In the Library’s program room. A Memory Cafe is a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for those with dementia or other memory loss and their care partners to have fun, share memories, and make social connections. Join us for a St. Patrick’s Day themed social hour with an activity and snacks. Call the Jackson County Aging & Disability Resource Center to reserve your spot: 715-284-3978.
The Black River Falls Heart Spirits, Nįoxawanį Nąącge Waxopįn, committee invites you to an Art Experience Legacy Project on Thursday, March 13 from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Black River Falls Public Library’s program room. Join us to raise awareness to the issue of human trafficking by making a clay heart in honor of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). Please email Jen Dahl (jennifer.dahl@brf.org) to reserve your spot. Art experience in clay is not needed, and the cost of materials is covered by the School District of Black River Falls.
There are still time slots available for What’s It Worth, a free appraisal event sponsored by the Friends of the Library, featuring former PBS Antiques Roadshow appraiser, Mark Moran! This event is scheduled for Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. Stop at the Library’s circulation desk to pick up your registration form. The registration form details what will and will not be accepted for appraisal. There is a limit of 2 items per household. Please register soon as time slots are going fast!
