William “Bill” Galster, age 84, of Black River Falls, WI., passed away on January 13, 2026, at
the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.

Bill was born on April 9, 1941, to William and Elsie Galster in Black River Falls, WI. After
graduating from Black River Falls High School he went onto work multiple jobs throughout the
years- IGA in produce, raising foxes for fur coats, Ashley Furniture, flooring installation and
farming. Bill was united in marriage to Barbara Nemec, they had three children, and were
together until Barbara’s passing. Bill then married Rebecca Peterson on April 9, 1991 and they
spent almost 35 years together.
He could do almost anything he put his mind to and did things his own way. He could build just
about anything and did build seven houses in his lifetime. Bill had a bit of a green thumb and
enjoyed patio gardening. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and was a previous
member of the Lions Club in Fall Creek. Bill had a kind heart and special place in his for
children, especially his grandchildren.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife Barbara; his parents, William and Elsie; his parents-in-law,
Milton and Helen Nemec; and step-son, Evan “Tony” Littlegeorge.

He is survived by his wife, Becky; children, Troy (Carmel) Galster, Robyn (Rich) Krause, Melissa
(Jeff) Ortiz; stepdaughter, Amy (Aaron Kirby); sister, Barbara Waughtal; grandchildren, Travis
and Skylar; his special four legged friend, Phena; his close pals, Joey Laufenberg, Ed Dugan,
Duane Johnson, and several other friends and relatives.

A graveside service for Bill will be held January 30, 2026, at the Trout Run Cemetery at 11:00
a.m., following the graveside will be a celebration of life at the American Legion Post #200 from
12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

The Torgerson’s Funeral Home is assisting the family with final arrangements, 715-284-4321.
