Golden Sands RC&D is inviting farmers and graziers to a pasture walk at Richardson Farm in Waupaca on Saturday, December 6th, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Hosts Art and Rheta Richardson will share their 13 years of experience in managed grazing, focusing on winter bale grazing and season extension using stockpiled forages — strategies that can boost both farm profitability and environmental performance.
Participants will learn practical tips on managing stockpiled acres, setting up winter bale grazing, moving cattle in cold conditions, and hear about real-world challenges and successes from the Richardsons’ operation.
