The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development has released its 2023–2025 Biennial Report, highlighting record-breaking achievements for Wisconsin workers.

During the two-year period, the state saw unprecedented job growth, maintaining a low 2.9% unemployment rate for much of 2024 and setting multiple records for total employment. Apprenticeship programs also reached all-time highs, with more young people and individuals with disabilities joining the workforce than ever before.

The report credits these successes to Governor Tony Evers’ $158 million Workforce Solutions Initiative, funded by the American Rescue Plan, which supported innovation, training, and job connection programs across Wisconsin—impacting more than 34,000 residents.

Other highlights include new pathways in healthcare, technology, and education; a statewide task force on Artificial Intelligence and the future of work; and continued leadership in veteran employment services.

DWD Secretary Amy Pechacek said these record-breaking accomplishments reflect Wisconsin’s strong commitment to helping people find meaningful work and advance their careers.
