The Wisconsin Natural Resources Board will meet in person for its February meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, at the State Natural Resources Building in Madison. The board will consider several proposed rule changes, including updates to property management, wildlife management, amphibian and reptile regulations, and fishing rules for inland and boundary waters.
The board will also review proposals related to bag and possession limits for round goby on the Lake Winnebago system and other detrimental species statewide. A land acquisition proposal involving Devil’s Lake State Park and the Ice Age Trail in Sauk County is also on the agenda.
In addition, members will hear presentations on the 2026 Conservation Congress Spring Hearing agenda, fisheries and wildlife advisory questions, the state’s Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy, and a report on the 2025-2026 deer seasons.
