Mackenzie Dougherty was crowned the 2022 Miss Jackson County.
The annual Miss Jackson County Coronation was held Tuesday night as the kick-off event of this year’s Jackson County Fair. Her court includes First Attendant Makayla Lopez, Isabel Blackdeer was named Second Attendant, and Avory Gazdecki received the Third Attendant sash. All members of the new court hail from Black River Falls.
The inaugural Jackson County Fairest of the Fair was also crowned Tuesday night. Taylor’s Grace Kling received the first ever Fairest of the Fair title. Steve Boe, Fair Board Treasurer, says Kling will be a promoter of sorts for the fair.
As the Fairest of the Fair, Kling will be able to compete for the state title in January through the Wisconsin Association of Fairs. Miss Jackson County, her court, and the Fairest of the Fair start their new jobs right away, assisting at a number of events during this week’s Jackson County Fair in Black River Falls.
