SkillsUSA Wisconsin is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. The 2024 conference will feature more than 1,500 middle, high school, and college/post-secondary students, over 200 teachers, and more than 300 industry volunteers working in more than 80 competitions. All contests are conducted under the direction of industry experts, trade associations, and labor organizations, testing competencies that are set to industry standards. The annual conference highlights the SkillsUSA yearly program of work and celebrates local chapter and individual success.

Often comprising several team members, competitions at the 2024 SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership and Skills Conference will be conducted in a wide array of skill sets, including Architectural Drafting/CAD, Automotive Service Technology, Broadcast News Production, Computer Programming, Industrial Robotics, Masonry, Technical Drafting, Web Design, and dozens more.

Hours on April 9 are noon – 6 p.m., with the opening ceremony at the Alliant Energy Center scheduled for 1 p.m. Competition set up and event briefings will be held throughout the day.

State Championship competitions will commence April 10 at 7:30 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. The Closing Ceremony, also at the Alliant Energy Center, will be held April 10 at 6:30 p.m. and include the presentation of awards. The first-place winners will go on to compete in the National SkillsUSA Championships, June 24-28 in Atlanta, Ga.

The public is encouraged to attend, with a $10 entry fee charged for the opening and closing ceremonies, while admission to the SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Championships competition is free.
