The Hunger Task Force is pleased to announce our 2nd Annual Virtual Food Drive from
October 1-October 31! To help this season, all you have to do is head to our website,
http://www.lacrossehtf.org, click, shop, and donate!
The fall season inspires joy and abundance, but for many families the upcoming
holidays highlight the difficulty of putting food on the table. With higher costs and the
recent end of pandemic assistance, we have seen increased demand from our network
of 120 eligible food programs. We encourage the community to join with us this fall by
shopping our online virtual food drive page or holding a food drive!
Food donations are distributed throughout the local Hunger Task Force network of
pantries, meal sites and youth programs, when and where they are needed most, in an
effort to effectively fulfill our mission to alleviate hunger.
Says Shelly Fortner, Executive Director of The Hunger Task Force, “Our food shelves are
dangerously low right now. This drive is a blessing to us and it gives us an opportunity
to replenish our warehouse so that the area pantries and meal sites can restock their
shelves! We appreciate that we can serve others and we’re hoping you will help in our
efforts. This drive can go a long way in helping us provide food to families. We are
thankful for our community support and encourage area businesses to help us by
sponsoring our drive this year!”
The Hunger Task Force mission, “We are a voice for the hungry by harvesting
community resources to alleviate hunger”
