A Fond du Lac County jury has convicted a man of a hate crime for deliberately causing a fatal accident. Now, it must address Daniel Navarro’s plea of not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect. Navarro admits he intentionally swerved his pickup to hit a motorcycle ridden by a white man two years ago. He told investigators Harley-Davidson riders were “white racists.” W-B-A-Y/T-V reports the jury found him guilty of first-degree intentional homicide Wednesday for causing the death of Phillip Thiessen.
