Clark County Forestry and Parks officials say all county campgrounds and boat landings are now open for the season, with ATV and UTV trails scheduled to open Friday, May 15th.
Riders are urged to use caution, as some trail areas remain rough and grading work is continuing. Officials also remind trail users that active logging operations are underway in the county forest, with logging trucks traveling in the area. Riders are asked to stay on designated trails, obey posted signs, and ride responsibly.
The Knobby Ridge Motorcycle Trails will also open Friday, while the Wild Rock horse trails and Levis-Trow Mound hiking and mountain bike trails are already open.
Clark County notes that street-legal motorcycles operated by licensed drivers are allowed on ATV and UTV trails, while non-street legal motorcycles are restricted to the Knobby Ridge Motorcycle Trails only.
Trail conditions and openings may change throughout the season. Updates are available through the Clark County Forestry and Parks Department at 715-743-5140 or online at Clark County Wisconsin.
The county is also encouraging residents and visitors to sign up for text and email alerts through the county website to receive recreation updates, severe weather alerts, and public health notifications.
