Over 100 AmeriCorps members, AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers, and program staff from across the state will gather at the Wisconsin State Capitol’s First Floor Rotunda on March 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event, organized by Serve Wisconsin, highlights the impact of national service programs, featuring a celebratory program at noon with remarks from AmeriCorps alumni serving in the state legislature: Rep. Darrin Madison, Rep. Supreme Moore Omokunde, and Rep. Amaad Rivera-Wagner.

AmeriCorps members provide vital services statewide, from education and health care access to conservation and disaster relief. Last year, nearly 8,500 volunteers served at over 900 sites across Wisconsin. Serve Wisconsin, which administers federal AmeriCorps funds, leveraged $31.6 million in federal funding and over $23 million in additional resources to support these initiatives.
