Our beloved, Anna Nicole Morabito, passed away on April 1, 2023. How do you write an obituary about
a life gone too soon to let the world know how precious, extraordinary, and one of a kind our Anna was.
We want the world to know how much love she brought to our lives and how utterly devastated we are
by her passing. I want to tell Anna’s life story because as tragic as her death is- I want to remember all
the love and beauty she brought with it also. Anna was born on November 24, 1997, to Carl and Becky
Morabito at Black River Memorial Hospital. She was welcomed home by her sister Allysha and brother
Anthony. Anna was Anna and we said that often. She was headstrong from the beginning. If she was
going to do something she was determined to do it her way. These past couple of days we remember all
the laughter at the silly things Anna would say or do. We remember a time she got ahold of the
softscrub and ran thru the house bleaching everything in her sight. At the time it wasn’t funny, but after
a couple of days, she gave us all a big laugh. To her sister Allysha she was adorable and to Anthony she
was his little sister- irritating until old enough to become best friends. Anna graduated from Melrose-
Mindoro High School in 2016 where she loved being with her friends and excelling in cross county and
track. You could see her determination on her face and the excitement when she did good. She always
gave it her all. Watching Anna run was a gift that we will cherish forever. After graduating Anna
attended school at UW Stevens Point and then WWTC in La Crosse. She was so excited last fall to be
accepted into the Radiology program at WWTC. She worked at Kwik Trip and made a world of her own-
so proud of showing us all how incredible we knew she was. If you were lucky enough Anna would let
you see the Anna we knew and loved. She had found a lifelong best friend in Regan Weigel, someone
who loved her like a sister. She was blessed to be Regans’ daughter, Adaline’s, God Mother. Anna made
a lot of friends wherever she went and I know they are also at a loss. To put in a few words- she was our
Anna- irreplaceable.
