(Harrison, WI)  —  Members of Appleton Boy Scout Troops 12 and 73 have been honored for their work during the rescue effort after an Amtrak train derailment last June in Missouri.  The scouts were on a cross-country trip when the train derailed in the middle of the night after hitting a dump truck.  Witnesses say the scouts jumped into action without hesitation, helping passengers escape the wreckage.  Emergency responders who were on the scene said they helped keep people calm.  The American Red Cross honored the local heroes at a ceremony in Harrison Monday.
