Beverly Jean (Horn) Peterson, 84, of Hatfield, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, November 24 th
surrounded by her loving family. “Bev” fought hard the past nine months trying to recover from a major
stroke.
Bev was born on October 20 th , 1939, to Oscar and Bertha (Ramsey) Horn. She was raised in Minneapolis,
Minnesota and spent summers at the family farm in Franklin, Wisconsin.
She married the love of her life, Harry T. Peterson, on September 5 th , 1959, and together they raised six
children. Over the years they lived in Black River Falls, Disco, Hixton, Richland Center and in retirement,
settled in Hatfield.
Bev was loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family enjoyed her homemade
bread, cookies and of course, her famous “Cream Chicken over Biscuits”. She enjoyed watching the
Hallmark Channel as well as Packers and Badger’s games.
Together Harry and Bev made many lasting friends and had lots of fun on their journey through life.
Bev is preceded in death by her husband Harry, infant twin sister Barbara; brothers Richard, Miles,
Marvin, and Gaylord; and sisters Birdine, Adella, Delores, and Lois.
She is survived by her daughter Debrah (Dennis) Householder, and sons Jeff, Troy, Craig, Jason, and Jim;
grandchildren Jen, Travis, Mandi, Daron, Bailee, Regan, Mya, and Hayden, as well as seven great-
grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful and kind people who cared for her at Gunderson
LaCrosse, Gunderson Whitehall, and Dove Health Care Osseo. Many friendships were formed over the
past nine months.
A mother’s love is a once in a lifetime gift, thank you mom for loving us.
Services will be held at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Black River Falls, Wisconsin on Sunday,
December 3 rd . Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will
follow at Hatfield Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
