Black River County Bank (BRCB) has introduced its latest employee-driven WE. GIVE. initiative, “WE. CARE + SHARE,” located outside their Melrose branch at 401 North Washington and Hogg Street. This new project, envisioned as a shared community repository, aims to support local residents by providing essential and seasonal items. Built with funds from BRCB’s WE. GIVE. program and crafted by Melrose’s own Gary Woods, the unit’s guiding principle is simple: “If you need something, please take it” and “If you have something to share, please leave it.”

The unit has been initially stocked with contributions from the Friends of Melrose and BRCB employees and includes toiletries, school supplies, household essentials, warm clothing, non-perishable food items, books, and games. BRCB employees will manage and update seasonal needs for the unit, which is already being put to good use in the community. Residents are asked to keep the unit tidy and refrain from leaving items that are unusable or unsafe.

Community members or groups interested in supporting the WE. CARE + SHARE initiative are encouraged to contact the BRCB WE. GIVE. Team at 608-488-2411 or 715-284-9448.
