The Black River Falls wrestling program wrapped up an incredible season, recognizing standout athletes for their achievements on and off the mat. With multiple conference champions, sectional qualifiers, and a historic state title, the Tigers had plenty to celebrate.
Athlete Recognitions
Riley Hanrahan led the way with a groundbreaking season, earning MVP honors, First Team All-Conference, and a Sectional Championship before becoming the first BRF undefeated state champion and the first BRF girl to win a WIAA state title. Hanrahan was also named Coulee Conference Wrestler of the Year and WiWrestling Female Wrestler of the Year.

Keanau Goldsmith – Captain, MVP, Conference Champion, Sectional Qualifier
Parker McCormick – Captain, Sectional Qualifier
Annaliese Rave – Second Team All-Conference, Sectional Qualifier
Aralyn White Eagle – Honorable Mention All-Conference
Ava Gilberg-Stroud – First Team All-Conference, Sectional Qualifier (3rd place)
Charlie Heath – Second Team All-Conference, Sectional Qualifier (3rd place)
Katelyn Nosbisch – Captain, First Team All-Conference, Sectional Qualifier (2nd place), 4th place at State and is the first female to receive the Devin Rose-Heavy-D award. She will be wrestling at Wrestling at UW-Stevens Point next year. Katelyn is also our female career win leader with 63 wins!
Coaching Recognition
The program also celebrated the dedication of its coaching staff. A special thank you was extended to high school coaches Dan Stilling, Dave Prell, and Kyle Berra, middle school coaches Kent Zahrte and Jake Peterson, and youth coaches Ross Goldsmith, Matt Lind, Matt Peterson, Brad Dobbs, and Kyle Nosbisch.
A huge congratulations went to Ross Goldsmith, who is retiring from coaching after 20 years of dedication to youth wrestling.

The Black River Falls Wrestling Hall of Fame welcomed two new inductees this year:
Jason Hornby (1992-1995)
Career Varsity Record: 82-26 (School record as of 1995)
Coulee Conference Champion (1995, 125 lbs)
Three-time Sectional Qualifier
Joey Riedel (2007-2010)
Career Varsity Record: 98-30
Three-time Coulee Conference Champion
Two-time Sectional Qualifier
Both athletes were honored on March 25, 2025, for their dedication and contributions to Black River Falls wrestling.
