The Common Council met in special session at City Hall in the City of Black River Falls on September 22, 2023
at 6:00 P.M. Alderpersons Olson, Dougherty, Gearing-Lancaster, Wussow, Brown, Ammann, and M. Rave were present. Alderperson E. Rave attended remotely via Zoom meetings. Mayor Jay Eddy presided.
It was moved by Alderperson Ammann, seconded by Alderperson M. Rave to approve the request from Officer Shaffer to carry over up to 64.18 hours of vacation over the allowed 120 hours. Motion carried.
Chief Isensee advised the Police Department was awarded a grant to cover 100% of the $32,100 for new report management system software. It was moved by Alderperson Olson, seconded by Alderperson Dougherty to approve the Police Department’s request to purchase TIMS Report Management System software at a cost of $32,100. Motion carried.
It was moved by Alderperson M. Rave, seconded by Alderperson Ammann to approve the Police Department’s request to purchase Axon dash cameras at a cost of $49,231. Motion carried.
It was moved by Alderperson Ammann, seconded by Alderperson M. Rave to approve the tree removal bids the Parks & Recreation Department received from Carpenter Tree Service totaling $24,300 with city share being $17,550. Motion carried.
It was moved by Alderperson Brown, seconded by Alderperson Dougherty to approve the Leak Detection Contract with Neuman Pools, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $17,500. Motion carried.
It was moved by Alderperson M. Rave, seconded by Alderperson Wussow to approve the vouchers for August 2023 Check #72867 – #72993 totaling $445,282.78. Motion carried.
It was moved by Alderperson Olson, seconded by Alderperson Dougherty to approve the City Treasurer’s Report for August 2023. Motion carried.
It was moved by Alderperson Wussow, seconded by Alderperson E. Rave to approve the Revenue & Expense Reports for 2023. Motion carried.
