A court hearing has been scheduled for tomorrow morning in Jackson County Court for a Black River Falls man who has been accused of possessing child pornography.
It has been reported that a CyberTip came into the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. In the tip, 34-year-old Michael Vannet was named as accessing child pornographic material.
Vannet is facing multiple charges that he will appear for tomorrow morning. Of those multiple charges, he has five charges of sexual exploitation of a child, 13 charges of possession of child pornography. He has been reported to need lifetime supervision of serious sex offenders.
A Jackson County Sheriff’s Department Deputy gathered information from Vannet’s Snapchat and Kik accounts. The Deputy also gathered information and evidence from Vannet’s cell phone. When the deputy reviewed the information they found at least 18 files of suspected child pornography.
Vannet is currently residing in the Jackson County Jail awaiting his trial. He has a $25,000 cash bond.
