This Week’s Programming:

TOPS Club, Inc. will hold their weekly meeting in the Library’s program room on Monday, August 4 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. TOPS Club, Inc. is a nonprofit weight-loss education and support organization. To learn more about TOPS (and meet some genuinely awesome people) please feel free to stop in on Monday – new members are welcome!
On Monday at 10 a.m., the Monday Morning Book Club will hold their monthly meeting in the Library’s small conference room. If you have been thinking about joining a book club, stop in and check it out!
Tuesday, August 5 from 12 to 1 p.m.: ADRC Access Hour – This month’s topic will be Elder Benefits. Below are some examples of how an Elder Benefit Specialist can assist you:
Provide accurate and current information on your benefits
Suggest alternative actions to secure benefits or appeal denials of benefits
Advocate on your behalf with other parties
Explain what legal action or other possible solution is required
Refer you to an appropriate attorney when necessary
Drop-ins are welcome! Please call 715-284-3978 for further information or to schedule an appointment.

Saturday, August 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Tech Help @ the Library: Smartphone Basics. Sign up for a 15-minute time slot (more time may be available depending on the number of registrants). Learn the basics of how to better use your smartphone. Space is limited so please call to register by Wednesday, August 6: 715-284-4112. As a reminder, device repair is not provided. (There is 1 spot remaining.)

Friday, August 15 from 1 to 4 p.m.: Friends of the Library’s Mini-Golf Event. All ages are welcome! Golf through the stacks of the Library on holes decorated by generous community sponsors and partners. Who doesn’t look forward to some air-conditioned fun in the heat of the summer? 😉

Keep reading and checking off or coloring in the diamonds on the back of your 2025 Summer Reading Program (SRP) bookmark! Remember – for every five books you read, you will earn one entry into our prize drawing! Just bring your bookmark to the library’s circulation desk and ask a staff member for an entry form. The 2025 SRP runs through Friday, August 15.
