Bradley John Lakowske, 50, passed away unexpectanly at his home in Eleva, WI on June 11, 2024.
Brad was born in Sparta, WI. His family moved to Black River Falls, WI in 1979 when he was six years old. After graduating from BRF high school, Brad received a Graphic Arts Degree from the School of Communication Arts in Minneapolis, MN.
He was employed at Veritas Steel in Eau Claire, WI at the time of his passing.
Brad found his happy place at a young age when he taught himself to play the guitar. He was a talented musician and immensely enjoyed his time with his ‘Doc Ellis’ bandmates. Music played a very big part in his life.
Brad was a strong willed, sensitive and caring man with a quick wit. He appreciated the wisdom of Yogi Sadhguru and he frequently spoke of the knowledge he had gained from reading the book THE FOUR AGREEMENTS by Don Miguel Ruiz. Both gentlemen played a significant role in the insight he sought. He was highly intelligent and a deep thinker with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed quiet time in the hammock, yoga, his cat, Chulo and time spent with friends and family. Brad was big hearted and vibrant with a childlike spirit and love for life. He could take a bad situation and make the best of it – always happy go lucky. He lived life to the fullest. He was deeply loved by family and friends.
Brad is survived by his parents, Calvin and Debbie Lakowske of Black River Falls, his brother Brian Lakowske and sister-in-law Jessica Lakowske (children, Calvin and Brooke Lakowske) of Black River Falls, WI . Brad was the father of two daughters, Emory Lauren McGregor of Acworth, GA and Ava Annemarie Hizer of Black River Falls, WI. Brad will certainly be missed by his many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brad’s family believes that taking the time to grieve and heal from his passing is essential. There will be no services. There will be a celebration of Brad’s life at a later date to honor his memory and share stories of love and remembrance.
