The Black River Falls Common Council met Tuesday evening at City Hall, with Mayor J. Eddy presiding.
Among the items approved was a TIF Six Façade Improvement Grant for Black River Phoenix Properties, LLC, for the property at 34 South First Street. The grant will cover 40 percent of eligible costs not covered by other grants or donations, up to a maximum of 120-thousand dollars.
The council also approved the appointment of Alderperson Joel Busse to the Electric and Water Utility Commission, replacing former Alderperson Justin Dougherty. Busse will serve the remainder of Dougherty’s term.
The council received a first reading of Ordinance 906, which would repeal and recreate city code regarding the prohibition of smoking, vaping and tobacco products at Marks Field.
Minutes from recent Airport and Utility Commission meetings were also placed on file.
The meeting was brief, lasting approximately 22 minutes, and adjourned at 6:22 Tuesday evening.
