The Black River Falls School District is moving forward with a referendum question that will appear on the November third ballot. Voters will be asked whether the district should be allowed to exceed its state revenue limit by one million dollars per year for four years, starting this school year. The district says the additional funding would be used for operating expenses, including maintaining class sizes and educational programs, transportation costs, along with staff salaries and benefits. The estimated property tax impact is about 45 dollars per year for every 100-thousand dollars of property value.
A Community Information Session is scheduled for Wednesday evening, September 30th, at 6:00, in the high school L-M-C.
