Authorities in Jackson County are investigating a fatal rollover crash that happened just after midnight Saturday on West Blair Road near County Highway N, south of Taylor. The Wisconsin State Patrol says a pickup traveling westbound left the roadway, went into the north ditch, and overturned. A 34-year-old Black River Falls man was taken to Black River Falls Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. His passenger, a 35-year-old woman, also from Black River Falls, died at the scene. Both names are being withheld pending family notification. Assisting agencies included the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, first responders and fire departments from Taylor and Blair, Black River Falls Rescue, Gundersen Air, and the Jackson County Medical Examiner. Alcohol is believed to be a factor, and the crash remains under investigation.
