The City of Black River Falls’ Common Council is searching for a council member. According to City Administrator Brad Chown, Fourth Ward Alderperson Pete Olson resigned his position as of Thursday. Chown gave no reason for Olson’s departure from the council. This now means the City will accept letters of interest from residents in the Fourth Ward who are interested in serving on the Common Council. Letters of Interest are due to the Chown’s office by Tuesday, August 6th. The City says all those interested will be invited to address the Common Council Thursday, August 21st, after which a vote to fill the vacant position may be held.
