Black River Health (BRH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cathy Bukowski as the new Chief
Financial Officer (CFO). With over 30 years of experience in healthcare finance, Cathy will play a key
role in supporting the health system’s continued success and its commitment to providing excellent
care to Jackson County and surrounding communities.
“Cathy’s extensive experience, leadership in healthcare finance, and passion for working in close-knit,
independent organizations make her an excellent fit for Black River Health,” said Carl Selvick, CEO of
Black River Health. “We are confident that Cathy will be instrumental in helping us continue to make
progress towards a healthier future.”
Cathy is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, where she earned her Bachelor of
Business Administration in Accounting. Throughout her career, she has held senior financial leadership
roles, including CFO and Vice President of Revenue Cycle, for a variety of organizations ranging from
small, independent institutions to statewide and national healthcare systems.
“I’m excited to be part of such a dedicated and driven team at Black River Health,” Cathy said.

system’s drive to remain independent while delivering exceptional care truly drew me in, and I’m proud
to serve the community in this new role.”
Cathy will work closely with leadership and staff to ensure the financial health of BRH, allowing it to
continue providing exceptional care to the community.
Cathy, originally from Milwaukee, has recently relocated to Black River Falls with her rescue dog,
Charli. In her spare time, Cathy enjoys spending time outdoors exploring local trails and parks, and
gathering with friends and family for game nights.
Black River Health would like to thank Holly Winn, former Chief Finance and Operating Officer, for her
service to the organization. She will continue to serve as a Senior Advisor through the end of this year.
