Cecil Ray Peters, 75, of Black River Falls passed way Wednesday, February 8 th at the Gunderson Tri-
County Health Care Center in Whitehall, Wisconsin.
Cecil was born July 31, 1947 in Black River Falls to Floyd and Myrtle (Hermanson) Peters. He was married
to his wife Alohoa on January 14, 1967, at the Blair Lutheran Church.


Cecil had several different careers, including working as a deputy reserve officer for the Jackson County
Sheriff’s Department, driving bus for the Black River Falls School District, owning and operating a sewer
business, mowing at Trinity Farms, and working as a meat cutter in Blair.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing bingo at Kal’s, had a love of cats and dogs, and always loved to
visit with his friends and family.

Cecil is preceded in death by his parents; wife Alohoa; son Jody Peters; brothers Richard (Eileen) Peters, Earnest (Gladys) Peters, Joe (Lorretta) Peters, Jack (Nellie) Peters, David Peters; sisters Virginia (Arnold) Springkle, Frances (Tom) Tibbitts, and Violet (Jerry) Gebhardt.

Cecil is survived by his son Troy (Wanda) Peters; daughter Michele (Donald) Moe; daughter-in-law Holly Peters; brother James (Isabelle) Peters; sister-in-law L. Jane Peters; sister Ruth Ann (Lynn) Finch; grandchildren Mason (Molly) Hieb, Trever Hieb, Matthew (Alannah) Peters, Mercedes Peters, Mitchell (Arlecia) Peters, and Carl (Samantha Capouch) Peters; great-grandchildren Sutton Miller, Holland Miller, and Haelynn Peters.


A memorial service for Cecil Peters will be held Friday, February 17 at 11am at the Torgerson Funeral
Home of Black River Falls, 408 North Water Street. Friends of the family are invited to visitation from
10am until the start of services.
