This afternoon, at about 3:17 PM, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received an alert from its automated license plate reader system regarding a vehicle linked to 49-year-old Steven Krahn of Black River Falls. Krahn was wanted on an active felony warrant.

Deputies located the vehicle in the Town of Brockway and confirmed Krahn as the driver. When officers attempted a traffic stop, Krahn fled at high speed, leading deputies onto Interstate 94.

A PIT maneuver was successfully used to stop the vehicle, and Krahn was taken into custody without further incident.

He was booked into the Jackson County Jail on multiple charges, including Fleeing an Officer, Recklessly Endangering Safety, Threats to Law Enforcement, Obstructing an Officer, and Bail Jumping.

Authorities remind the public that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
