(Chippewa Falls, WI) — Folks could be zooming on the snowmobile trails in Chippewa County in a matter of days. Volunteers with the Bloomer Snowhawks Club say they’ve spent weeks clearing the trails in the county, and hope to open this weekend. It’s been a slim few years for snowmobiling in western Wisconsin because of a lack of snow. This year, the Snowhawks say there is plenty of snow, they say it’s now just a matter of maintaining the county’s 450 miles of trails so people can get out on the snow.
