The Community Boxing Club of Neillsville hosted another successful night of amateur boxing Saturday at the District 1 Community Center in Black River Falls, featuring 14 bouts and competitors representing 10 boxing clubs from across Wisconsin, Minnesota and the surrounding region.

Community Boxing Club boxers competed in five matches during the evening, posting three victories.

The night opened with Jaylen Funmaker of Community Boxing Club dropping a unanimous decision to Zahir Cruz of Gust Gym.

Later in the card, Maricella Vargas earned Community Boxing Club’s first victory of the evening, winning a split decision over Calentina Martinez of Mad Gladiators.

Chaseyn Funmaker came up short against Fabio Corro of Mad Gladiators, who earned a unanimous decision.

In an all-Community Boxing Club matchup, Brandol Ramirez defeated Charles Kue by split decision in one of the night’s closest contests.

The featured bout capped the evening as Brooklin Schoen of Community Boxing Club earned a split-decision victory over Lauren Rognrud of MN Top Team.

Maxy Rivers (Mad Gladiators) defeated Mark Rodriguez (MN Top Team) by split decision.
Robert Schramka (Hodag Boxing) defeated Titus Swanson (Al Mitchell Boxing) by first-round referee stoppage.
Ariano Otero (Medina Boxing) defeated Pravaas Gurund (Peek-A-Boo Boxing) by split decision.
Hadassah Swanson (Al Mitchell Boxing) defeated Safa Alasalihi (Firehouse Gym) by split decision.
Ben Banguar (MN Top Team) defeated Kade Elm (Lac du Flambeau Indians Boxing Team) by unanimous decision.
Vaughen Millard (unattached) defeated Jaedin Peyketewa (Wisconsin Rapids Boxing Club) by split decision.
Devin Lamanna (MN Top Team) defeated Hayden Zarda (Hodag Boxing) by unanimous decision.
Sawyer Federation (Peek-A-Boo Boxing) defeated Carlos Scott (MN Top Team) by unanimous decision.
Deondre Ishan (Lac du Flambeau Indians Boxing Team) defeated Ruan Van Staden (Wisconsin Rapids Boxing Team) by second-round referee stoppage.

Schramka was also presented with the Ho-Chunk Hammer Award for his outstanding performance.

The event brought together boxers from Community Boxing Club, Gust Gym, Mad Gladiators, MN Top Team, Hodag Boxing, Medina Boxing, Peek-A-Boo Boxing, Al Mitchell Boxing, Firehouse Gym, Lac du Flambeau Indians Boxing Team and Wisconsin Rapids Boxing Club, continuing Community Boxing Club’s tradition of providing quality amateur boxing competition for athletes throughout the region.
