One of the Aging & Disability Resource Services of Jackson County Aging Goals
over the next 3 years is to quarterly host a Community & Cuisine: Dinner after 5 in
which we explore different nutrition topics with our Senior Nutrition program.
Our third session of Community & Cuisine: Dinner after Five will be Thursday,
August 21, 2025 at 5:00pm at the Department of Health and Human Services, 421
County Road R, Black River Falls. The evening will start with a presentation from
April Duval from UW-Extension and how to utilize the farmers market and the
items you can find there to your advantage. This will be followed by dinner
served with socialization to follow.
The meal served will be chicken pepper bake, gazpacho salad, baked apples &
squash, roll, and strawberry shortcake. You are eligible to attend this Senior
Nutrition program if you are aged 60 or older, or attend with a spouse who is
aged 60 or older. There is a suggested contribution of $5.00.
