The Aging & Disability Resource Services of Jackson County is continuing its aging goal of
hosting a quarterly Community &  Cuisine: Dinner after 5 in which we explore different nutrition
topics with our Senior Nutrition program.
Our seventh session of Community & Cuisine: Dinner After Five will be Thursday, August 20 th at
5:00pm at the Department of Health and Human Services, 421 County Road R, Black River
Falls. Join us for the topic, Preserve the Harvest, where we will discover canning and food
preservation techniques to help us enjoy fruits and vegetables year-round. The evening will
include a presentation followed by dinner served and socialization.
The meal served will be Vegetarian Sheppard’s pie, kale crunch salad, berry muffin, and
chickpea blondies. You are eligible to attend this Senior Nutrition program if you are aged 60 or
older or attend with a spouse who is aged 60 or older. There is a suggested contribution of
$5.50.
