World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is June 15th; and a number of Jackson County Community Organizations are coming together to host “Bites Against Abuse.” On Monday, June 15th, from 11:00 to 2:00, everyone is welcome to the corner of Water and Harrison Streets in Black River Falls. Attendees can grab lunch from local food trucks, including The Woodshed Mobile Wood-fired Pizza, Olson’s Lil Red Wagon, and Level Up Sips. Local advocacy groups will be on-site providing free resources, giveaways, and information on how to spot the signs of elder abuse. Organizers say the goal of Bites Against Abuse is to support the protection of older adults in our community.
