On Friday, March 10th, 2023, at approximately 10:48 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a report of several sheets of sheet metal stolen from a construction site on Sprosty Hill Road in the Township of Wauzeka.

An investigation determined that Jesse Lutz, 43, and Matthew Teynor, 28, both of Prairie du Chien, went to the construction site and stole twenty-seven sheets of sheet metal valued over $4,000.00. Teynor and Lutz were arrested for theft of movable property and obstructing an officer. During the arrests, Teynor was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and Lutz was found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Prairie du Chien Police Department and Milo’s Towing Service.
