Several farmers and processors will get the promised reimbursements under the Dairy Business Innovation Initiative grant program. According to brownfieldagnews.com, the funding was held up by the Department of Government Efficiency over a week ago but was released by the USDA Friday. The program, which helps businesses use targeted grants to grow and develop new products, had 420 grant applicants in limbo nationwide. Overall, 28.6 million dollars in promised reimbursements were in question. Nearly 6.5 million dollars are earmarked for Wisconsin.
