Daniel P. Domenosky, 61 of Merrillan passed away on August 22, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Dan was born August 6, 1960 to Virginia (Smith) and Harvey Domenosky in Mukwonago. Dan married the love of his life, Lori Laufenberg on April 6, 1985 in La Crosse. They lived in the Village of Merrillan where they raised their three children.

Dan graduated from Lincoln High School, Alma Center. Dan worked for Badger Mining Corporation in Taylor, WI as a rail load-out operator for nearly 30 years.

His many interests included motorcycling with his wife and friends all throughout the U.S., hiking with his family, camping, hunting, fishing, ATVing, skiing and traveling, including a trip to Europe in 2018.

He will be greatly missed by his family and is survived by his loving wife Lori of 36 years, son Matthew (Robin Russo) Domenosky, and daughters Danielle (Jimmy) Schroeder, Hannah (Bryce) Vieth and first grandchild expected in November, 2021. He is also survived by his mother: Virginia Smith, and three sisters: Debra (Tom) Green, Susan Garbers, and Mari Zergoski.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Harvey Domenosky, stepmother Joyce Domenosky, stepfather John Smith, father and mother-in-law Ray and Lorraine Laufenberg, brother-in-law Robert Laufenberg, sisters-in-law Patricia Bomberg and Sherry Bartz.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday August 28th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Alma Center. Father Dan Thelen will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Alma Center. Visitation will be at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home in Hixton on Friday August 27th from 5:00 -7:00 pm with a Rosary service held at 7:00 pm.

The Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home of Hixton is assisting the family with arrangements.
