The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is now accepting applications for its 2025 Buy Local, Buy Wisconsin (BLBW) Grants. Up to $200,000 will be awarded to support local farms and food businesses in improving how they process, market, and distribute Wisconsin-grown food.

Grants range from $5,000 to $50,000 and require a 50% match. Projects can run up to three years and must show results like increased local food sales, job creation, and new investments.

Eligible applicants include farms, food processors, distributors, retailers, and agritourism operators.

Applications are due by noon on Monday, September 15, 2025, and projects may begin in December.

Since 2008, the program has funded 128 projects, supporting over 5,600 producers and generating $14.7 million in new local food sales.
